Amphiprion tricinctus - Three-band anemonefish

The three-band anemonefish, Amphiprion tricinctus, is a type of clownfish found near the Marshall Islands and in the western part of the Pacific Ocean. They can be found in lagoons around 3 to 40 m deep. They can grow to be about 5 inches long and can be found in anemone such as the bubble-tip anemone, Entacmaea quadricolor.

In the aquarium

Like many other clownfish, three-band anemonefish can be aggressive as they grow. For an aquarium, a minimum of 20-gallons is recommended.
